On Monday night, country music star Chris Young was arrested in Nashville, Tennessee, facing charges that include assaulting an officer, as per court documents and jail records.

Nashville police and Davidson County sheriff’s records, along with affidavits obtained by NBC News, indicate that Young faces additional charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

According to arrest affidavits, Young reportedly assaulted Joseph T. Phillips, an agent with Tennessee’s Alcohol Beverage Commission, at a bar located a few blocks from the Country Music Hall of Fame and just off the renowned Broadway nightlife district in the city.

Phillips claimed that Young started trailing agents as they carried out routine compliance checks at two bars in Nashville.

The agents moved to the adjacent bar, DawgHouse, and according to Phillips in the affidavits, Young and "multiple friends" followed.
