Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) left critics cringing on Tuesday with a remarkable demonstration of excessive flattery towards former President Donald Trump.

Back in 2012, during her tenure as the governor of South Carolina, Haley designated Scott, who was a member of the House of Representatives at that time, to fill the Senate seat left vacant by the retiring Sen. Jim DeMint.

"Can you believe that she was the one who appointed you, Tim?" Trump remarked about Haley during his speech.

"You're now the senator of her state, and you endorsed me," Trump stated.

"You must truly dislike her," he added.

Scott, positioned behind Trump, stepped up to the microphone and expressed, "I just adore you."
